The Regulatory Context
A recent innovation, Cosmetic Wear ® is not yet covered by any specific standard. So they are subject to two sets of regulations, that is cosmetic and textile.
Standardisation works are in progress
They were initiated by France, source of the main technical and marketing innovations.
 France: BNITH WG 9 – since 2005
Europe: CENT TC 248 WG 25 since 2005
The Pôle de Compétitivité Sciences de la Beauté et du Bien-Être [Centre for Competition in Beauty and Well-Being] COSMETIC VALLEY® financed by France (Ministry of Industry) in the framework of the Enterprise Competitivity Funding – F.C.E. supports these works of standardisation.
